WALTON AND JOHNSON

The W&J Radio Show is one of the most imitated and universally imitated radio programs in the nation. No show has a more unique mix of "stream of consciousness," opinionated and compelling talk, celebrity guest, musical elements, fictional characters and famous impersonations, great skit writing and production coupled with powerful interaction that radio audiences seem to appreciate.

Walton: Born and raised Houston and a self confessed "know it all" Walton began talking on the radio as an all nite weekend guy and hasn't shut up since. Wore the monkey suit as a programmer and manager and met up with Johnson and fate in 1983 for a date with destiny. John has been on the radio so long that he won't say what year he started in Oklahoma City while in college, but let's just say the Beatles breakup was still big news.

Johnson: Mr. Johnson was also born and raised in Houston (don't hold that against us). He once poured hot metal in a foundry and always thinks of that whenever working on the radio "seems too hard." Steve quickly learned that the ladies loved the radio guys. Now it's true that these ladies might not always be the first ladies you would pick out of crowd, but hey, people always buy radio guys a lot of beers, so it all evens out. Mr. Johnson's various character portrayals have kept him sane and out of therapy for many years.

Billy Ed: Originally an engineer at KWIC in Beaumont, TX, moved with W&J to New Orleans in 83. He was never intended to have access to a microphone, but somehow for the last 20 years he has managed to get in front of one everyday. Billy Ed is a graduate of Klute H.S. and is not allowed to be photographed because of a special arrangement with the US Government upon his honorary discharge from the US armed forces (special covert ops unit), so we only have a "crime artist sketch."

Mr. Kenneth: Mr. Kenneth First met W&J while cutting their hair for a photo shoot at his world famous "Head Shed" in the French Quarter. He came on the show in 1984 to demonstrate George Michael's Wham Cut...and would not leave. He has somehow obtained a key to every studio since we have originated the show.

Mr. Eaux: Mr. Eaux (pronounced "O"...first name unknown) joined the show in 1983. He met W&J while selling them a set of walnut handled steak knives from the trunk of his El Dorado on St. Charles Ave in New Orleans.

Sarah: Sarah is our Executive Producer and our girl Friday. We rely on her to take care of business. She is also our phone girl who is the deciding party on which callers we should take and not take. When you call in, she will be polite and helpful, especially when she give you the 'Rules'...please, do what she says.

To help you get to us, follow these simple guidelines:

1) Sarah follows the "you know," "um," and "like" rule...religiously.
2) It's okay to ask Sarah how she's doing. Hopefully that will get it out of your system before you get to us.
3) Think before you call with a 'comment' or 'question,' meaning, know the main point that you would like to get across to us and stick to it.
4) Sarah can smell a morning sauce sipper through the line. If this is you, proceed with caution.
5) If you cross Sarah, most likely you will never get through again. Follow the rules and be a true 10%'er about it.

What is the phone number to call the show?
